Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks for construction/maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, grading, paving, and repairing sidewalks/roadways
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure to identify safety hazards
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Collaborate with team members on scheduled infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of construction/public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and emergencies
