Responsibilities
- Perform heavy equipment operation (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) for infrastructure maintenance
- Execute road repairs, drainage system maintenance, and vegetation control
- Assist in public facility upkeep, including park development and sidewalk repairs
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on construction projects and emergency response
- Operate hand/power tools for demolition, grading, and material handling
- Document daily work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (CDL Class A/B a plus)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
