Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including road maintenance, drainage system upkeep, and park infrastructure repairs
- Operate heavy machinery safely including excavators, graders, and street sweepers
- Assist in emergency response operations for weather-related infrastructure damage
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public improvement projects
- Participate in community beautification initiatives along Honolulu's coastline and urban areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in tropical climate
- Experience operating heavy equipment (excavator, loader, dump truck)
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and safety protocols
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
