Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks) under supervision
- Assist in road repairs, drainage system maintenance, and park upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in emergency response during hurricanes or natural disasters
- Maintain accurate work records and equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety procedures
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Spanish/English bilingual skills highly desirable
