Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, landscaping, and equipment operation
- Assist in road repair, drainage system maintenance, and park facility upkeep
- Safely operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery under supervision
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
- Document work progress and report equipment maintenance needs
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with construction tools and equipment operation preferred
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
