Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, tampers, and saws under supervision
- Assist in street maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to project timelines and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year construction or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification a plus
