Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (e.g., street sweepers, dump trucks, backhoes)
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and loading materials
- Assist in street repairs, pothole patching, and snow removal operations
- Maintain parks, playgrounds, and green spaces through landscaping and cleanup
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Complete daily work logs and report equipment malfunctions
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Pennsylvania Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance knowledge
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
