Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city roads, sidewalks, and public infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, loaders, and street sweepers
- Assist with snow removal and emergency storm response operations
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal properties and facilities
- Support park maintenance and green space preservation initiatives
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Indiana Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in construction or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
