Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (dump trucks, graders, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater drainage system upkeep and repairs
- Participate in snow and ice removal operations during winter months
- Conduct inspections of municipal infrastructure and report issues
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Tennessee Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Tennessee residency required within 90 days of hire
