Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, dump trucks) for infrastructure maintenance
- Perform manual labor tasks including road repairs, landscaping, and facility upkeep
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Assist in stormwater management and erosion control projects
- Conduct routine inspections of public properties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate work records and equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Clean driving record and background check required
