Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (street sweepers, loaders, dump trucks) for infrastructure maintenance
- Perform snow removal operations during winter emergencies
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of city sidewalks, streets, and drainage systems
- Support waste management and recycling programs across residential zones
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment maintenance records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year experience with heavy equipment operation
- Certification in OSHA construction safety preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
