Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for park maintenance and landscaping projects
- Operate light machinery (mowers, trimmers, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Assist with road repair, sidewalk maintenance, and storm drain clearing
- Support waste management and recycling initiatives city-wide
- Respond to urgent public works requests and weather emergencies
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand tools and basic equipment operation preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with minimal supervision
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
