Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance and repairs including pothole filling and striping
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in storm drain cleaning and flood prevention initiatives
- Support park and facility maintenance projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols
- Respond to emergency public works situations
- Maintain accurate work records and equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class A or B CDL license
- Minimum 2 years construction/municipal equipment experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Clean background check and drug-free workplace compliance
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly valued
- Must pass pre-employment physical and skills assessment
