Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery safely including dump trucks, loaders, and street sweepers
- Perform landscaping and park maintenance duties
- Respond to emergency storm damage and flooding incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and submit accurate reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Louisiana Class E driver's license
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (certification preferred)
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance
