Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light equipment (mowers, trimmers, trucks) for landscaping and cleanup
- Assist in stormwater infrastructure inspections and debris removal
- Support public park maintenance and recreational facility upkeep
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works requests
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain organized work sites
- Document work activities and equipment usage in digital systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- 1+ years of landscaping, construction, or municipal maintenance experience
- Ability to operate hand/power tools and light machinery safely
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic knowledge of stormwater management practices
