What You'll Do
As a member of our Public Works team, your daily responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and alleys.
- Operate and maintain heavy and light equipment, including asphalt patchers, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Assist in traffic control operations, including flagging and directing traffic during construction projects.
- Clean and maintain storm drains, ditches, and right-of-ways to prevent flooding and ensure drainage efficiency.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter months.
- Operate jackhammers, saws, and other power tools for cutting concrete and pavement.
- Load and unload construction materials and debris from trucks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Missouri Class C Driver's License required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safety procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
