Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) under certified supervision
- Perform manual labor for road maintenance, drainage systems, and park installations
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols for trenching, excavation, and hazardous materials
- Assist in traffic control and public area safety during construction zones
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and basic preventative maintenance
- Document daily progress using digital reporting tools
- Participate in storm response and emergency infrastructure repairs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 90 days
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal labor
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
