Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for city infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws) under supervision
- Maintain and repair sidewalks, roads, and drainage systems
- Assist in traffic control and site safety management
- Transport materials and equipment using city vehicles
- Document work activities and report equipment malfunctions
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
