Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Perform routine road maintenance, pothole repairs, and snow removal operations
- Assist in construction projects including sidewalk repairs and utility installations
- Maintain public spaces including parks, greenways, and stormwater management systems
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Document work activities and maintain accurate field reports
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- High school diploma or equivalent required
