Responsibilities
- Execute heavy civil construction projects including road paving, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure
- Operate specialized machinery (asphalt pavers, compactors, excavators) with precision
- Lead crew coordination during high-traffic zone operations
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering schematics
- Manage material inventory and equipment maintenance logs
- Mentor junior laborers on best practices and safety protocols
Qualifications
- 5+ years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrakes endorsement
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with surveying equipment and GPS systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting
- Nevada Water/Wastewater Operator certification preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
