Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for construction, maintenance, and repair of city infrastructure
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, power tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist with traffic control and work zone setup per OSHA standards
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or maintenance labor
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic equipment operation experience preferred
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
