Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, etc.) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in traffic control and site setup for public infrastructure projects
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites and equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines are met
- Report maintenance issues and perform routine equipment inspections
- Adhere to all OSHA and city safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification a plus
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
