Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscaping for public infrastructure projects
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools (e.g., jackhammers, asphalt cutters) under proper supervision
- Maintain public spaces including roads, sidewalks, and parks through routine inspections and repairs
- Assist in emergency response operations during severe weather or public safety incidents
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols and maintain organized job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, supervisors, and contractors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Strong work ethic with punctual and reliable attendance history
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or public works preferred
