Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided machinery (excavators, loaders, sweepers) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, paving, and landscaping
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities
- Follow strict safety protocols while using provided equipment
- Assist in emergency response during weather events
- Maintain clean and organized work sites
- Complete daily equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Nebraska driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- No prior equipment experience required (training provided)
- Pass pre-employment background check
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
