Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for road/bridge projects
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks) under certified supervision
- Assist in stormwater system maintenance and erosion control initiatives
- Conduct site cleanup and hazardous material removal per OSHA standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure rehabilitation projects
- Participate in emergency response during weather-related events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Class C driver's license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme temperatures
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- 1+ years of municipal construction experience preferred
