Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and asphalt repair
- Operate heavy machinery safely (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) under supervision
- Assist in constructing and maintaining sidewalks, roads, and drainage systems
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure concerns
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Knowledge of basic hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
