Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and dump trucks for municipal construction projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for road/bridge maintenance
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards on all job sites
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to execute project blueprints accurately
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and basic repairs
- Document work progress and complete daily activity reports
- Participate in emergency response operations during weather events
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or heavy construction
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B) required
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery (excavators, dozers, rollers)
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass background check and drug screening
