Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, tampers) safely and efficiently
- Assist in traffic control and site safety protocols implementation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work zones and equipment
- Support storm drain maintenance and street repair operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines and deliverables
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools and basic construction methods
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
