Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate machinery like backhoes, jackhammers, and compactors safely
- Assist in road repairs, sidewalk installations, and drainage system maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors on project timelines
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment familiarity
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material measurements
