Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including digging, shoveling, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs
- Operate light equipment like jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers under supervision
- Assist in asphalt/concrete repairs, signage installation, and drainage system maintenance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Support emergency response crews during weather-related incidents
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Participate in cross-functional team projects
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, rain, dust)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand/walk 8+ hours daily
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- 1+ years construction or municipal experience preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
