Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and asphalt/concrete work
- Operate light machinery (dump trucks, compactors) and hand tools safely
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage systems, and park facility repairs
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document daily progress and material usage accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation knowledge
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
