Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in construction, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., dump trucks, loaders) with proper certifications
- Assist in traffic control and site safety protocols
- Prepare work sites and materials for daily operations
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Alaska driver's license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic equipment operation experience (backhoes, graders)
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
