Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, compactors) under supervision
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park infrastructure projects
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate daily work logs and equipment usage records
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to operate hand/power tools
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to various job sites across Austin
- Commitment to punctuality and professional conduct
- Experience in construction or landscaping preferred but not required
