Responsibilities
- Construct, maintain, and repair city roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) with precision
- Install and maintain traffic control systems and signage
- Perform emergency response during severe weather events
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure projects
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- Valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A/B)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
