Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and moving construction materials
- Operate and maintain equipment like jackhammers, saws, and pneumatic tools
- Assist in constructing and repairing streets, sidewalks, drainage systems, and parks
- Ensure site safety by following OSHA protocols and using proper protective equipment
- Work collaboratively with crews to complete projects on schedule and within budget
- Document work progress and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license (must obtain within 30 days if not held)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Preferred: 6+ months of construction or maintenance experience
