Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment for excavation, grading, and paving projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and carrying construction materials
- Conduct routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related infrastructure events
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
- Complete daily work logs and documentation as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works preferred
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety equipment
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
