Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure projects including road maintenance, park renovations, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, compactors) with proper safety protocols
- Assist skilled tradespeople in excavation, grading, and material handling
- Maintain clean, safe job sites through debris removal and hazard mitigation
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Adhere to OSHA standards and city safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED acceptable)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (provided by employer)
- Reliable transportation to multiple job sites within Alameda County
