Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, loaders) under supervision
- Maintain streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Assist in stormwater drainage system maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience preferred
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and flexible hours
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- OSHA 10-hour certification a plus
