Responsibilities
- Perform heavy equipment operation (backhoes, dump trucks, rollers)
- Execute road repairs, pothole patching, and asphalt maintenance
- Conduct debris removal and sanitation route support
- Assist in park landscaping and green space upkeep
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety compliance records
- Collaborate with cross-functional crews on priority projects
- Participate in emergency weather response initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with heavy machinery operation preferred
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic knowledge of traffic control protocols
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
