Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Assist in road maintenance, park construction, and facility upkeep
- Safely load/unload equipment and materials from trucks
- Maintain job site cleanliness and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance logs
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety practices
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
