Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery (e.g., lawn mowers, snow plows, sweepers)
- Assist with stormwater management and drainage systems
- Participate in park beautification and landscape projects
- Support emergency response during severe weather events
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols
- Document work activities and equipment usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in all weather
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience in municipal services or landscaping preferred
