Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and landscaping for city projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, small trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on municipal initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment
- Strong teamwork ethic and reliable attendance
- Pass background check and drug screening
