Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light/heavy machinery including dump trucks, street sweepers, and mowing equipment
- Assist in seasonal park maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal operations
- Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and work sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
- Respond to emergency weather-related public service requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery (dump trucks, loaders, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure maintenance
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
