Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy municipal equipment, including dump trucks, graders, and snowplows, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Perform manual labor tasks including pothole patching, sign maintenance, and debris removal on public roadways.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of city infrastructure, parks, and public facilities.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations while working in various weather conditions.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and special projects as assigned by supervisors.
- Conduct routine inspections of public spaces to ensure cleanliness and structural integrity.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License (Class B preferred) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual labor for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus but not required.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during inclement weather.
