Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for street maintenance, park upkeep, and utility infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, pavement saws, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in traffic control setups and work zone safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure concerns
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
- Follow all OSHA and city safety regulations consistently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and flexible shifts
