Responsibilities
- Operate county-provided heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks)
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure construction/repair
- Maintain job sites per safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Assist in traffic control and public safety during operations
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project milestones
- Document work progress and material usage accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (provided)
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
