As a Public Works Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations that keep our neighborhoods safe, clean, and functional.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a variety of public works equipment, including dump trucks, loaders, and snowplows (all equipment provided).
- Perform manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials and debris.
- Assist in road maintenance, including pothole repair, striping, and pavement preservation.
- Support snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather to ensure public safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform general site cleanup and landscaping maintenance as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is a plus but not required.
- Ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
