Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city-provided equipment (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public works facilities
- Assist in emergency response for weather-related incidents
- Follow OSHA safety protocols for equipment operation and hazardous materials
- Document work progress and maintain accurate project records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
