Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (backhoes, loaders, dump trucks) safely
- Assist in storm drain maintenance, street repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Prepare work sites, manage materials inventory, and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Document daily activities and report equipment issues promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials handling
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends/evenings
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- 1+ years of construction or public works experience preferred
