Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure projects including road repairs, sidewalk maintenance, and park facility upkeep
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, compactors) and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management, snow removal, and vegetation control across city properties
- Conduct site preparation, material handling, and debris removal for construction zones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and city environmental regulations
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Strong work ethic with punctual, reliable attendance
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (OSHA 10-hour training provided)
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs
